Cattron Group, Inc. Acquires Beltpack and Canac Remote Control Technologies (formerly Vectran, Inc.)

Sharpsville, Pa. – (October 15, 2004) Cattron Group, Inc. announced today it has acquired CN’s Beltpack business including Canac Remote Control Technologies, Inc, formerly Vectran Corporation.

Cattron Group, Inc. is the parent company of Cattron-Theimeg, Inc. a leading international manufacturer of industrial remote control products and professional services.  Headquarters for the combined companies will be in Sharpsville, PA.

Canac Remote Control Technologies and Beltpack products include the BELTPACK® and CANTRAC® radio remote control systems for locomotives. Also included are the former VECTRAN remote control systems for industrial applications. The BELTPACK®, CANTRAC® and VECTRAN products will become part of Cattron Group, Inc.’s existing product offering.
